Rene and I want to thank you all for coming from near and far to share this simcha, this wonderful happy event in our daughters life with all of us. The feelings of love and warmth this weekend have been wonderful. We are so happy that so many of our family and friends were and are able to be here with us. I want to take this moment to say a special thank you to all of our friends who helped in one way or another in making this day happen. I extend special thanks to all of those whose participated in the service and also to all of those who helped and took care of the details of the hospitality for both Friday night, and Saturday morning, and made sure things ran so wonderfully smoothly. I know that this will be a sore spot to some, but I also want to thank the Yankees and Mets for their cooperation in clearing everyone’s calendar for the weekend!~! I can tell you that the pupil has become the teacher. Marga’s knowledge and ability with the Hebrew language has exceeded her fathers. And after getting used to it, I now willingly accept it as she corrects my pronunciation while we sit in temple at services. I know that Marga as she said earlier today thanked me for making sure (I did not have to push too much), that she studied for this day. I will tell you now that when the joy and euphoria of this weekend subside, the shoe will be on the other foot, as I know that Marga will help me, and yes make sure that I study as I prepare for the 30th anniversary of my bar mitzvah next June 16th. That will also be a great day, but I assure you that we will not be throwing a party like this!! Once again, our heartfelt thanks and love to all of you for helping to make this a special day for our daughter Marga. |
